Im 17 in just over a month and im unsure what to get for my first car. Hopefully i will have near on £5000 to cover car / insurance / mods etc. I just want a bit of advice from more experienced car owners. Cheers.

Personally would buy an old shitter that you ain't bothered about having the odd scrape in, as you might do, and get your own insurance so you build up your no claims........ either save rest of the cash or if you really wanna spend it buy a car to totally modify and work on and get the way you want until you can insure it without a problem

no point modding straight away insurance will be sky! Get urself corsa 1.2 16v, dont get 8v soo slow believe me, sort out sweet stereo (uprated speakers head unit and sub amp 6x9's) Sort ya self with a decent alarm cat 1. Debadge and strip it. Then change the grill can usually get away with that for insurance. then if ya got stuff left colour coded the lot!

1.4 corsa sri around a grand for a suitable tidy one.

around £1500 fc for you with liverpool victoria

dont put a big kit on straight away as they will prob no touch you.

just get some wheels and leave it at that , keep the other 2.5k , go on holiday with your mates and save for a better car when you get more experiance

buy a Newish Corsa.. whack all the Tasty Irmscher mods on it and claim they were on it when you declare them as they are actually a factory fitted option

Pals just done this with her Corsa C And it never affected her insurance at all..
