i would like to stick the company logo into the DWG border, i was wondering the best way to do it? Ive tried dragging the image in and although it looks ok, it increases the file size too much.
I do have the image as an EPS format (vector?), but windows doesnt recognise that.

Any ideas anyone?

p.s im using autocad 200 LTi

can you not alter the size of the logo before you drag it in?

yes, but you cant really manipulate the logo very well, for example, when copying it with other stuff, it doesnt copy.
I was wondering if there was any easy way of inserting it

insert it and explode it, then turn the whole border and titleblock back in a block?

can group objects too so they stick together

right you have a jpeg of decent size and quality, just insert it as a raster image and scale it down to whatever size you need.

btw AutoCAD 2001?!?

if its a jpeg try using the attach image command, not used autocad for a while myself

if its an LT version it may not have that feature

Like I said in the U2U I got into my AutoCAD 2000 LT as a JPEG and could edit the size of the image. Added 100kb to the file size tho but computer didnt struggle with it......

you wont be able to explode an image from a jpeg file, ull just have 2 click on it all as one and just scale it to the size.

ah, of course, with lt you can't use raster images, tell your boss to stop being such a tight bastard and get real AutoCAD

file sent mate, should be okay if my placement is right.

may i recommend though, you draw the logo up in cad, it looks simple enough, that way you can bind it into your title block, as AutoCAD does not really like images, and certainly does not like sending them, or them being moved about.

drag the SMB vector into the EMA square making sure you apply the GTF and PSTFU options in the Tools > Options > Advanced Menus

finally all you need to then is select the STFU radio button on the Items menu and save, make sure you export it as a .KMA file type

Not sure if Ac 200 has it or not, but you can download the LT extender online for free which gives you some features full AutoCad does. If you download it Type IM in the message box, a box should come up (image manager) i think all options are locked, but if you press Ctrl + A it will come up with a window and browse till you find your image, press ok. Then you can insert it into the drawing able to scale rotate etc etc.
