Are you caning the arse of it? I would not push it for the first few hours of its life. Both the amps I have had in my cars have smelt a little the first time i have used them.

yeah thats usually fine, does it have a temp readout on it?

yeh its just working the hardest it has ever done, just like when you really crank the gain up on an amo and sub for 1 hour or more!
