Yeah, there are a few screws to be removed. 2 screws are behind the vents at the top and screws in the ashtray bay. Ther are also 2 screws behind the air circulation lever too (the thing below the 3 knobs).
To remove the vents, point them fully downwards, use a screwdriver to lever from the top, then another screwdriver to lever at the sides of the vent until it is away from it's swivel points.
When you manage to get the console out (awkward if the heating control wires are left in), you'll see a black strip. This is clipped in and when you remove this, you'll see the 3 bulbs.
