If you were to buy an x20xev, with ecu wiring loom etc...but doenst come with transponder unit and transponder from key, will you still be able to start it?

ecu transponder and chip are all matched

I have been informed that some transponders are wired into ecu, and some early ones were independant.

I have asked him, he was not certain, but said prob, so text a mate, rekons wont b a problem....if it it, i'll just have to find an ecu with transponder etc.
