What would people recomend between the Canon 10D and 300D?

From what I've read in reviews the 10D does seem better but I'm struggling to find a decent camera and lense kit for it in the UK?

Canon EOS 20D Digital Camera Kit - With Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens you can get for £995 inc and thats not a bad starter lens but if that is to steep go for the 10D you can do more with it

Jessops price matching is decided upon by individual branch managers so you might find somewhere that does. There was a thread on dpreview.com not so long ago with some people who had success with print outs from web shops. Some didn't though.

btw, its a DSLR, there is no 'all in one' deal. You will spend more than you want to. Don't forget you need many batteries, lots of memory, off camera flash, tripod, hoods, bag etc.

camera on top of monopod - end of monopod attached to ground. use it when you have a heavy lens or when there is low light and you need to move around

it's not so much the camera but the person. the DSLR will produce better quality images and better prints but ultimately it the person hehind the camera. DSLR will give you much more freedom to play about with settings. if your serious about photos then I can't see the point of getting a high end prosumer camera.

these images I doubt you could reproduce on a non DSLR type camera.
you may capture the image but the quality will not be there.

this is 100% crop
