Finally got round to it....
2 runs i did......alright for a derv i guess 
1st: 9.0
2nd: 9.3
Both done on my watch (very awkward), with 1 passenger and full boot + tank.
I didnt realise 50mph was only 2.3k in 4th. Full boost aint till 3k   As predicted, wall of smoke behind!

yeah i done mine the other day on the motorway and i thought about 10 secs in mine, so much fun with the turbo though!!
any idea if you can get it to kick in earlier?? i can hardly feel mine til about 2.5k then it hits you!!

Is yours tuned mate? coz that helps no end.....u get the turbo right thru the range, but peaking 3-4k, rather than the sudden 2.5-3.5k blast u get as std.

I did my 30-70 mph the other day in my Sxi lol, was a bit sluggish coz my car was still pretty cold - Was just recording vids with my phone (holding phone in hand turning wheel and using my other hand to change gears)
did a 0-50 mph run which was around 8-9 secs.
and did a 30-70 mph (changing gears, not stuck in 4th or whatever)... took 8 seconds 
watching the vid it looks slow as... Might of been slightly up hill - can't remember wasn't looking at roads.
hehe did a couple while driving about and you see my speedo wizzing about (I'm holding the wheel as well as my phone and turning round corners / roundabouts oops)

how much is a 1.6 16v corsa then?
im right in understanding the VTS?106 gti hasn't got much torque so its not actually that quick when moving?

what do Gsi's do 0-60 in? 8.5 / 9's? that means starting 30 mph earlier and only doing 10 mph faster is taking a long time for that final 10 mph. (60-70)?
I was in 2nd gear from about 30-55 mph, then in 3rd from 55-> 70 mph.

how can it not be right. 3s to get to 30mph, 8.9s to get to 60, 12s to get to 70mph

so it takes a gsi 3.1 seconds to go from 60-70 mph? is there a gear change in between or something?

yeh seems a bit long...
I just checked my video phone properly - I acutally do a 27-68 mph run and it takes 9 secs not 8.
