how much oil do you use in youre engine a week ?
should i worry that im using about 1 an a half liters a week! or is this normal?
im just using the car to and from work and the occasional tear about

Not using any oil really..not that you would notice anyway..Adnd I have a slight leak from somewhere...

well all these engines leak, but not that much. just jack it up and see where its coming from, the sump is the most common problem! have u looked where its leaking from?

Go out in it at night, get a mate to follow you or be behind you at some traffic lights............boot the hell outta yours and see if it smokes!

Mines burning a fair bit but mainly on full load...........cant see anything in the day, always easier to see when your looking in your rear view mirror and there is a car behind when its dark.

place an old newpaper under your cars engine, and leave it foe a period of time, when you come back pull out/look at the paper to see where about the oil is coming from[ maybe more than one place] and how much your leeking. should give u more of an idea where the leek is

It could be the oil pump gasket. If I remember rightly, that went on my mate's XE - with it bein right on the pump, the oil gets shot out under pressure...

Do you lose more when your engine's running than when its off?

1.5 litres a week!! shit mine hardly drinks that a year i doubt!
I check mine pretty much daily and it stays at the full line

no its not leaking lee had sorted out where it was leaking from the gearbox and replaced the seal...
im actully burning it..

might be down to when i put foot down and i get alot of smoke -something to to with vavle stems so im told?

yeh if your valve stem seals are gone when you boot it you will get blue smoke out the back
