dont take a scooby to a normal garage to do the oil change. They will fukc it up because they will not have a clue. There is a certain procedure the oil needs to be changed.

1)Drain old oil out and take off oil filter and despose of.

2)Re-fill oil with good fully synth oil mobil1 or similar.

3)Unplug cam sensor so car will not start but WILL turn over.

4)Turn engine over until oil light goes out then plug cam sensor back in and start car.

This way will maintain the life of the engine.

dont be a tart alan, you know you want one, i always wanted something fast and turboed, and finally got one (first gt4) and then sold it too get my flat, had a 106gti and r5 turbo for a while, but missed the perfomance looks and size of the gt4 so, got another, and havent looked back since.
Its like any car, make sure you get a good one to start, look after it yourself, and you shouldnt have too many probs + for serving there are lots of small independant specialiasts these days, due to the opoularity of the scooby, so serving doesnt have to be the usual main dealer fisting....if you catch my drift
