Above really.....................recirc (standard) or vent to atmosphere?

Never put a dump valve on the Impreza for two reasons really:

1) Knackers cat due to overfuelling
2) Max power image

What does everyone else think? Give your reasons as well!

Cheers Guys!

really not worth putting a vent to atmosphere on as it is proven to do more harm than good on an impreza!!

No leave the recirc on. Your also prone to piston failure aswell as overfueling.

Yeah, most Imprezas come with a standard recirc dump valve, you can just hear it in third. I think there were a couple that didn't.............22b was one of them??? Not sure tho?

I can hear my standard dump valve in any gear, possibly louder because of induction kit.

If your car is mapped properly i cannot see why a dump valve would cause overfuelling?

Ive just bought a forge Atmospheric to go with my new intercooler.

have a VTA if you want to increase lag, sound like a chav but lower your EGT

have recirc if you want performance and a bit of noise (fit a cone filter)

over fueling because the ECU thinks it is getting more air than it does

6 for the recirc
23 for the VTA

Had a VTA on my old Nissan 200 for about a week, then it started to do my head in! I think they have gained the chav reputation these days as a few have mentioned!

I definitely wont be putting one on the P1! External wastegates are cool but a little extreme when I want to keep the car as standard as possible!

My brother has an uprated forge 007p Recirc valve to replace the standard bosch one on his Cupra-R. He has an enclosed induction kit and you can hear it dump thorough it at low speeds. Not a loud noise like a normal dumpvalve, just a nice subtle noise.
