Even worse.
The telecoms market is very competative and you will need to work your arse off to get anywhere.

Also remember your at the bottom of the shit chain so it will come back on you....

Sales is shit unless your extremely good. Something you either have or haven't got, and you can't learn it imo. I haven't got it, sold 3 things in 3 months when i worked in sales, that was from roughly 100 calls a day.

I'm in sales. Easy enough if you put the effort in. Unfortunately I spend too long on here evey day! getting better though. On top of that, generally the first quarter was crap everywhere

Im in sales,

I dont really have a commision structure, however I have a regular bonus each year,

My basic pay has also nearly doubled in 9 Months working for the coompany.

I love my job.

Telesales in the Telecommunication market would be crap in my opinion,

As above, its an extremly populated market with lots of companies doing it.

Would your job involve cold calling? If so stay clear imo.

Unrealibale, shaky position to be in. Always under pressure to meet your targets. No job satisfaction. People/customers treat you with no respect.

Sales is the job from hell, hence why any monkey can get a job in the area and earn ok money.

Can make some serious money from it and in most cases get a company car and juice paid for too. However, you are always under pressure to meet targets.

I know a bird who used to do it but got out as it was long hours and very stressful. She had a skill being blonde and well fit too. One of my mates has just started a job doing it but only time will tell.

Sales IMO isnt for everyone. If you've got it you can make a lot of wedge. The job is pretty easy, and depending on what market your in, there are many opportunities to build a good career.

I work for an IT supplier. I have both customers and prospects. Monday to Friday, Mainly on phones, some travel visits. I find my job very satisfiying. Most people are very respectable and deal with you in a business like manner. I've always been keen in IT, so the job fits right.

You'll either love it or hate it.

you know shit! if it was easy to make good money in sales everyone would be doing it then right?

direct face to face sales is a very difficult job. you need to understand psychology, body language, buisness, finance etc.....

but as stated by others, not every monkey can sell, !
yeah your right customers treat u like shit, but at the end of the day, if u buy summat and it aint right, ur not gonna be happy!!!!!!!!

thats the way i see it,

sales aint crap, infact its quite easy if u can sell, i lovew my job and im in sales,
i just get to sit around basically, serve a few customers, make sure th place is clean, and then i can do fuck all for rest of the day!!!!!

in my job, i have to work hard for 1 day a week, the rest is relaxed!

If the job is an external sales role I certainly wouldnt take the job on unless they provide you with a car, either your own company car or hire you one,

We have a couple of company cars / hire cars we use when we got on external calls
