To have the engine/fuel tank fitted, made orderly and serviced, and to assess what else i can afford to have done to get it on the road. Im hoping that it'll be MOT'd by the summer and ill be driving it round

It goes on Monday, im packing its bags at the minute

£220 + parts (of which it needs very few of)

Ben.

Probably need a rediculous amount of work to make it fit - 911 turbo engine was fitted to one though by a Porsche engineer - needless to say, it made the front page of Volksworld last year

Some of the Older Porsche Aircooled (I know many people like to keep to the aircooled theme) engines arent all that, proberbly only 160 brake from a 3.0, or something like that, then youve got the weight of the campervan (guessing around 1.5 tonne+). There no race car, but i bet in the scheme of things they fly .

I was just thinking of the long term value thats all, I take it yours is a 1302? I mean an Oval for example would always sell for more than you buy it at whereas 1302's are fetching less each time they sell... I paid £6k for my splitty, even with no work done its still worth more than that already!

Fair play though mate, theres an awesome 1302 round the corner from me, real Cal looker, just sat there on the drive though for 3 years now, they still clean it every week though
