where can i find a site which sells engines and all the gadgets needed for engine convertions.

Dad wants a 2.5V6 for a vectra...his cambelt just snapped at 38k

oh well, he said, he fancys a 2.5 V6 rather than his old 2.2



oh and can anyone give the description of the engine ... 2001 Vectra 2.2 sri

Dont think its a common conversion..... so u might have to get 1off mounts.... ask an engineering company....

I wud rip the old lump out and just test fit the v6... u might need to cut the mounts off a v6 cassis and weld em on to ya dads....

you wouldnt need one off mounts.
just keep an eye out in the scrap yards in your area. be prepared to travel to scrap yards in different close (ish) towns.

to be honest, wouldnt bother getting 2.5 V6 for it, unless you are prepared for a looooong time of teething problems and off-the-road time because thats just what happens after engine problems
