Was gonna get one but seemed like a bit of a gimmick as all it does is dry it for you. So instead I got this silicone thing that flicks all the excess water off afterwards and you can leave it after that or go over it with a chamois if you want. Was only a couple of quid aswell.

The Flash thing works OK, it's good for a quick wash as an alternative to going through an automatic carwash (which doesn't get all the crap off anyway) and you can't be arsed to spend 3 hours washing, drying and waxing manually.

basically you rinse down the car first with the normal water.
then turn the dial and soap is sprayed out of it. after this you sponge the car all over.
then turn the dial back to rinse and get all the suds off the bodywork.
finally you turn the dial to auto-dry. this is where the water is passed through a de-ioniser catridge and sprayed onto the bodrwork. took five mintutes to dry (was quiet cold).
I dont have an afro, it was a bit windy.
I used Meguires as shown in the picture. took me two go overs on the bumpers as they were pretty bad.
now i need to serioulsy polish the whole car

must admit, i picked one up from halfrauds, and it DOES work.
when i leave it to dry between sponging and drying i get a few streaks but nothing like i used to. It saves loads of time if your in a rush. I would still shammy it if tho if youve got time.

doesnt put anything in the water to make it dry, it uses de ionised water which is sposed to dry clear as there is no residue. I personally cant say there any replacement for the good old chamois

20quid initially
you get about five or six washes with the soap bottle
and 10 uses of the de-ionised water
