just wondering what gains u can get by chipping a c20xe, is it worth doing?

Chipping? I presume you mean fitting some form of "superchip" ? If so, fitting one one its own would be of little benefit. Coupled with something such as a new inlet manifold a unichip is certainly worth while

Superchips aren't all they are cracked up to be. They only really raise the rev limit. Best off getting a mappable chip. Dastek do the Unichip and you'll get noticable gains from that.

The XE's base map is pretty good anyway, so only a mapable chip will really make any difference, however small.

Unichip is usually used when you've added cams and done a few throttle mods.

A unichip on it's own wouldn't really give many gains at all as Simon said. But with something such as a mantzel box and a unichip should see around 20bhp.

Depends what else you do really. Unichip on its own will not give you much more than about 5-8bhp on a standard engine. But as Luke says, it will compliment the fueling when added with cams, TB mod and such like.

ive had a redtop corsa, with dastek unichip cams and head work, and that thing flew. im sure it was quicker than my last on on twin 40's. was along time ago though.

redtop does not reposnd to the unichip. if it has a power cap there are more gains to be made
