Iv a Sony CDX-MP40 and iv got an amp n sub now to power but not sure if i can just squash the bare copper wire into the (3.5mm jack???) hole?
Any1 kno if this will work as i can join the copper wire to a 3mm jack from maplin 2mro!

i thought the remote wire would just be a normal thin copper wire (22awg)..
You can just use some spare wire lying around the house. It only needs current to switch the amp on, thats all..
what do u mean by 3.5mm jack hole? As far as i'm aware, there is not 3.5mm jack hole on amps, especially not for the remote cable.

that jack is not for that remote! its for using stalk controls/wireless remotes ect.
The wire you want is blue or blue /white and will be in your headunit wiring loom.

blue remote wire from anp connects to the little blue - blue/white wire coming out of the head unit wiring loom, soimetimes it is called remote, dometimes its called antenna (for if you was going to connect and electrical antenna up to it) all you need to do is snip this wire, put a chocolate block on it and then join the wire from amp to this said cut wire!!!

sony have a habbit of having a sperate remote for amps as the power antenna only comes on with the radio, I put a 12v feed with a switch in it from my switched live so i coult turn my amp off
