Why O Why bother!!! Do your time (1yr for insurance) then u can get a c20xe stuck in there!!!

I wouldnt bother to be honest mate, I would buy a GSI.

Insurance isnt that bad, i have no ncb & 21years old im paying £780 fully comp with Tesco's

if u do get a 1.4 16v make sureu get the chip and transponder with the ECU

TBH mate, it is worth looknig into the prices of insurance. I was 18 when I got my current 1.4 SRi. Changed up from a 1.2 8v Vegas to this and it cost me the grand totall of.....

£30 . I cried with laughter for the first couple of days . Double the power, alloys, A/C, E/W, E/M etc etc. Main reason i didnt bother chucking an engine in my old B was cause i wanted all the extra toys off the bigger engined car too. Worth checking out anyway .

i wouldnt bother doing it unless the 1.2 8v you have is fecked.... the performance difference just wouldnt be worth it... at the very least a 1.6 16v if performance is the reason yer converting...

as i said above though if the 1.2 8v is fooked then 1.4 8v MPI....

would be insurance friendly to
