This is my last week with the 1.2 8v... I have been trying to kill it so I can justify fitting my new engine, people think i'm stupid  So, I have been thrashing it from cold and generally abusing it. The ECU light came on, then went out and the ammount I have been getting form a tank of fuel has risen from 180 to 250 miles... I think they like being treated rough. If they weren't so under powered they would be the best engine ever. I have never had to top the oil up in it. Never even changed the oil in the past 15,000-20,000 miles I have done in it and I know people have run them with no oil in them at all

my 1.28v had done 130 000 miles and i thrashed it every day and it still started and went no problem its solid, i look after my GSi and its a piece of cack lol

I have been un-plugging stuff to see what it does to find out what needs taking off... Even with sensors missing it runs fine, the ECU light just turns on

Well, MattB stole my Haynes manual... I hate reading stuff to, especially wiring diagrams that aren't in colour and that are written in German.

take one of your HT leads off, they don't like that... sounds like a WRX too

I was abusing Mr Saxo earlier (within the speed limit) and got pulled over by an unmarked Police car It was a natinal speed limit roads and i was basically booting it from 0 - 60 from lights Got a producer and a warning  IMO, it was safe and i kept within the rules

Your 1.2 8v was the biggest piece of shit on this earth  I'll NEVER forget following you all the way to crail at 70-80mph in my SRi and itching to pass you!!!!! If only i had known the f**king way i would have
ed just empty the oil out and see how long it runs for they cant last forever without oil

dont u just love how ur speedo in a 1.2 8v says ur doing 100-110 then u get out ask painz wat speed we were doing and he goes, oh i set cruise control to 80 as the pace was slow.
I love 1.2 8v does wat i want it to do, and if i had a bigger engine i would be dead or banned.

same here, if i had a bigger engine i wuld be dead proably, and i enjoy having to do no engine work ever, total reliability, and getting 40 mpg
