so will a new air flow/mass meter solve the problem of pinking or the momentary cut out on acceleration?

Does this show that this is the problem and I should replace it?

Cant tell from that really, to see if it is that..get come carb cleaner spray. Remove the AMM and spray short blasts into the inside of it onto the sensor. Dont touch the sensor or wipe it. After its dry put it back on the car and see if it has solved the problem.

If it has you know that this is the problem...if not, its something else?

Some people hav said this was a permenant fix but for me it only worked for about a week then i had to redo this process. After a while it just went completely. Hope this helps

Just unplugged the AMM and cleaned out the breahter tube, a la here and I can't get the car to pink anymore!.

Also the car no longer misses when I 'floor it'.

So, is that conclusively and AMM problem?

yes, did u remove the actual part and spray inside? (just that little section the wires plus into) See how long it solves it for. Any more problems, keep doing it until uve found a new one from the scrappy or ebay!

i just unplugged it and left it unplugged (it's not plugged in now)...
