I currently have Sony CDX-L450 Headunit, and have recently bought the Sony CDX-656 10 Disc Changer but it appears that the headunit does not support CD changers.. It doesn't have a socket for the controller cable. 
Can anyone confirm this is correct and i'm not missing something (i.e. an adapter)?
If i am right and these are not compatible, can anyone recommend a cheap'ish headunit that is compatible with the CDX-656 Changer?
