yes, mine are 17/205/45, straight on. no rubbing at all

It's the offset figures you need to keep in mind aswell especially with 17's
et45-49 would be best

Tyre size must be right.
Offset and wheel width must be right.

Also good to go for Toyo tyres, or ones of a similar design, they seem to roll inwards a lot more than other brands giving you a few mm more space to play with.....

cheers for that little bit of advice 1800ed
I have the wrong offset on my wheels, back arches rub, and I cant lower it, maybe if I can shave a few mm off the tyre size I can get away with cutting some of the arch away and bonding trim back on to lower it
