When I connect the black terminal to the battery, the alarm sounds and I can't turn it off with the key fob, the only way to stop it is to pull off the terminal again. How can I connect the battery up again and make the alarm stop!?

It's standard Vaux, so not sure about the battery backup thing. Normally it should turn off with the key fob though, but its not

but the key in and turn to ignition position then try it if the alram goes off start the car..
if that dont work.. then i dont know!

Maybe silly but have you checked the battery in the remote is ok?.Or try putting your ignition on and then reconnecting the alarm to battery, that is what i had to do with a clifford alarm when reconnecting battery.
