i got to college today to find out off all the other 2nd year apprentice's that we all might be losing our jobs!
the other lads here were saying that the company is getting rid of all 1st year and 2nd year apprentice's and that all the 1st years have already had their letters, and so have some of the other 2nd years but i hav'nt heard anything from the company apart from a rumour off my mate ( lad who i go to college with in his 2nd year also)
if its true it means i will lose my job and will come out with nothing seeing as i hav'nt yet completed my 2nd year at the company.

thats what i have heard but i dont think there are any other places in the area on the same scheme i am on which means i go down to even worse pay AGAIN! cos ill be a 1st year again.
if it happens i'm pretty sure ill go do engineering at my uncles place because ill be getting payed far more and i can cycle to work and save a tank of petrol

well, this is what happened to my lot (i work at VW)
remit lost the vw contract and mtech took over, they were going to make us do a different course in nottingham but we all kicked off and are staying at our current college, while the apprentices below us are going to nottigham.
tbh you i dont think you will loose yor job, remit (and mtech) dont get paid their money from the government untill apprentices finish their quailfication. it doesnt make financial sense to get rid of loads of apprentices who have had tens of thousands of pound invested in them, and then loose the government payout..

they wernt jokin wen they sed all of drive giot the letters then. i work 4 drive vauxhall in bury st edmunds n got my letter this morn.just the sorta thin i want after me car get smashed

I have recently applied to ReMIT for an apprenticeship... I noticed other companies have ended contracts for some reason or other after searching google for information 
Are MTech part of ReMIT or another organization? if the later whats their website / phone?
