in my case, probably no as i wouldnt have any airbags and not told the insurance, my policy would be null and void and therefore driving with no insurance

well, im doing some bits and bobs to make it a bit different

rock man - there was 2 airbags - one on the passenger side and one in the steering wheel, but i disconnected them and unbolted them

kev you would have been insured as you refitted your steering wheel which has an air bag and the passenger airbag is optional, insurance are not aware of it.

makes no difference whether they have power or not, a good enough knock will make the charge go off

I dropped one of my seats and the pretensionor went off, it actually snapped part of the subframe off and shot it accross the field

passenger airbag wasnt optional when i bought the car
