selling my car this week so tried to put original tape player back in last night, finally got the piece of crap to go in and have a code written down for it but it wont seem to enter properly
how do u enter the code - assume just press the buttons
is there anyway around entering the code to get rid of the safe display and make it work?

i think it displays on MFD then you press the radio 'station preset' buttons according to the code...i think thats it....may help posting in ice+electrics tbh

yeh i tried pressing the preset number buttons but they dont make a beep or anything so i get no response that the buttons are being pressed - was wondering if was doing something wrong

think u may need to hold down for a specified time, usually the mfd flashes for a code to be entered then....

it goes something like this... put key in the ignition turn to full just before engine starts, then hold down AS and switch the radio on, it shud display _ _ _ _ use the buttons 1 to 4 to cycle through the numbers then once entered hold down AS and it should beep and auto tune
