How do deadlocks work? I think my cars got them but I dont really know anything about them. If someone could explain that'd be good

RAC changing it for about £50 cause they a bit tinted.

deadlocks stop you pulling the door pin up so if you break the window you cant pull the catch up inside, only problem is that if you do this i reckon they will end up bending the door and making a right mess to get in

So are the deadlocks on my car automatically 'armed' when I lock my car?

I think u need to turn the key right then left to arm the deadlocks...or the other way round

U need to turn the key one say (the lock stays unlocked) then str8 back the other way and its deadlocked

Once when I had my Corsa some fucker smashed my rear screen in (I assume to nick the ICE I had in the boot), but the alarm went off and they scarpered.

Luckily my Astra has no ICE (or in fact anything to speak of) that can be nicked.

this seems to be getting fairly common practice to get into cars now.

remove the rubber seal and pull the window out whole.
happened to me on my fiesta. the cunts cut the seal, peeled it off and pulled the whole rear window out in one piece.
all this for a set of clear lights that were worth about £50 ffs
the wankers left my fancy digital camera in the car though

ps - didnt know id actually left it in there

if theyre anything like other windows that are sealed in and not bonded on, then they can either go in like a piece of piss or be a total cunt to do
