I need to replace my tyres soon on my car and i was looking at these, after somthing that is hard wearing but good in the wet and dry.
What are the below like. I have had a pair of Toyo prox found them fairly good but fairly soft, and had some yoko A539 didnt think they were very good in the wet.
this is what i have been looking at.
Nankang ns- 1 & ns -2 (NS -2 is much cheaper)
Avon zz3
Kuhmo K19
Hankook Ventus K102
was thinking of spending a bit more than the nankang and get the Avon's, The car it is for is astra G 2.2.

Good year Eagles are fantastic tyres... Don't expect them to last a lifetime though - they're soft so grip... but because they're soft they wear quickly.

I've had Nankangs on my Astra for 2 years and they are very hard wearing, only now has one begun to wear on the inside so i bought 2 new ones from eBay for £38 each for 17's.

Depends how you drive, if sensible then they're fine but if like this morning in the rain you decide to spoon it then yes your statement is true lol

I'd swear by my t1-R's, i had them on my clio, and i've just swopped them onto my corsa, admittedly havent driven the corsa on them but I've never had a problem wet or dry with them on the clio.
They seemed to last forever as well, and we're pretty much an all round good tyre.
I'd consider T1-S tyres though, they seem to be as good if not better down to the change in pattern.
Happy tyre hunting!

i rated zz3's so much that i bought zv3's when i got the 15's (zz3 doesn't go that small).
zv3 is a little bit of a let down, but my expectations were high because of the excellent zz3's

Cheers for all your comments.
Would like to go for the goodyear F1 but just can not afford them at the mo.
So i am going to go for the Avons or the Toyo's.
