I've just finished fitting the front Coilovers to my Corsa but haven't yet got around to doing the back.
The front is height adjustable FK's and I still have fitted my standard steel rims.
I'm not convinced the setup is right though, as my car now handles like a go-cart and the tyres seem to squeal when braking and cornering (as though they are flat). The tyres are at 36psi and the car is lowered probably around 50mm
Are the problems down to the fact I dont have wider wheels fitted or that the back has not be done yet to level out the car (as it is still normal firde height. Or is it my cock up - although I've done everything as it should be?
Any help is appreciated as little things like this make you think something is going to happen badly wrong
Appreciated

Not sure. Bought them off here a couple of days ago. They are an old model with yellow springs and yellow struts
Definately FK though

No, I just fitted the front tonight, bolted the wheels back on and took it for a spin.
The steering is very light and feel like there is no holding.
I reckon its because the back is standard and the front is lower, there is much more weight at the front (but shouldn't that make the steering heavier)?

Is it going to make a difference just fitting the new rear springs and leaving on the standard dampers? I don't want to go changing the dampers yet to find there is still a problem
BTW The coilovers look like the FK AK Coilovers but the rear springs are seperate to the dampers (maybe the version which preceeded this).

They have to be seperate spring and dampers as the corsa doesnt run a turret style rear set up!
Fit the backs, id say some better wheels 15's and good tyres would be better, you will find the front is now stiff and and progressive damping whereas the rear is soft and unprogressive damping

I've got around to fitting the rear lowering spring which seems to have eleviated the problem slightly.
Walking towards the car though, I see that one front iswheel pointing slightly outwards when the other is straight, but both are on the inner edge.
I'm assuming that this is camber which needs adjusting. Can anyone confirm this is the case and how safe it is to drive a car like this.
I will take to a garage tomorrow and get them to look at anyways.

You peeps are the greatest.
Got the tracking looked at today, which solved all of the problems preiously encountered.
It now handles like a proper tourign car (albeit very bumpily)
Thanks again
