Tonite it was me and Three mates in my Corsa Gsi which has std springs with uprated spax shocks the front wheels are fine no probs with them at all
but the rears look slightly eatten (from when i got it) and tonite with three ppl in the car the rears seems to catch im not to sure what its catching on it could just be that bolt that holds the arch cover on altho im thinking it could be the arch cover itself
the wheels in question are Boxx XL 300 17'' with an ET of 45 the tyres are avons 17/205/40
what mods should be done to cure this?

et45 rubbing with standard springs? first ive heard, the offset is prob et40 mate or if your sure then it will prob be catching on a inner arch bolt/nut which you can take out.

was wondering if i could leave the bolt in there but cut off the excess screw part unless that doesnt cure the prob
you could be right but have been told by the previous owner that was the offset and the wheels arent marked so not 100% sure

get 195/40 tyres that will help...
will be rubbing on the plastic or bolt, can take bolts off and bond palstic arches on....
you can shave some plastic of the inside of the arches too..
but with standard ride height and et45 wheels wouldn't think you would get scrubbing...

im gonna load up the back with a load of weight to see exactly where its rubbing then go from there
id rather not change the suspension as the handling is pretty good and the ride is not that hard
my astra has -40mm springs with wat is supposed to be 15% uprated shocks and the ride is firm and its very hard over the speed bumps
