Just rang quinn Direct, asked them about putting a 1.6 16v into my 1.2 16v sxi, im 18 0 years ncb and they only want 1300 fully comp im nearly paying that now on my 1.2 16v

Soooo anyone know where i can source a 1.6...

Cheerss i think im probably best to save up for a few months is it best to get it rebuilt before i get one put in ?

roughly how much do i need to save for a rebuild etc ? i rang a company called just nova's and corsa's and they said they could fit a astra 1.6 into my corsa for 700 pounds ...

I don't understand this why not just buy a 1.6 and swap your bits over, surely that's easier than getting a different engine put in fair enough if you were doing a 2.0 16v conversion but it's a standard production model.

Its more hassle getting all my bits taken off....IMO and also having to sell the car etc I know exactly how the car is and that there isnt one problem with its all mechanically sound and with gettting the 1.6 rebuilt it would be like getting a new engine

dont get the Astra 1.6 16v its a X16XEL? (irrc) Dont respond to tunning the same and has a different inlet manifold etc

Also most x16xe ar not that high milers and only really need a basic rebuild if they are not loosing oil etc.
