Just bought a 1.4 corsa for my son's first car, and the clutch bites when it is very close to the floor, which seems wrong to me.
if it was worn or slipping, it would be very high, not low. Does this car have a cable clutch ? Maybe the cable has stretched and needs adjusting ?
If so, where is the adjustment point ?
thanks

The adjustment point is just past the gearbox.
Pull the cable out from the holder.
Hold the cable while turning the black adjuster.
Place the cable back in the holder.
Carry on adjusting until the clutch pedal is slightly higher than the brake pedal.
