i think it's revs that'll kill the engine. power would damage trans before the lump afaik

Depends which internals you are talking about, ARP rod bolts are one good choice for small power increases, then you may need to start looking at forged pistons and con rods, lightening and balancing, double valve springs, bronze valve guides etc. I know forged con rods are supposed to be good for around 700bhp though

Like everyone says, its when you go past 7000rpm that they struggle. A good set of ARP or Cossie big end bolts will see it right!
