my car keeps reving its tits off changed the throttle bodie plugs leads dissy cap rotor arm air filter thermostat still does it somebody said somink about a thermostat controll plug (multiplug thing) its a 1.4ls 8v (could be a 16v unsure)

any clues im stumped

Throttle positioning sensor or coolant temperature sensor?

got a new tps with the throttle bodie but whats the coolent temp sensor the temp gauge on the dash doesnt change to highstasys about right

if your car is an 8v it is the thing that is scewed into the left hand side inlet manifold with a spade connector on it.

they cost about £6 from a motor factors.

if this works im gonna drive up to c u kiss u and drive home again if not its another £6 but one less thing to go wrong

thats the one for the gauge... there's two of em, the one affecting idle would be a blue two pin plug on the passenger side of the cylinder head, under the coilpack
