long exposures and use flash more than once over dark area's of the car. also don't do it in pitch black. using flash and short shutter speed gives you a light foreground with a dark background. the exposure with teh flash is not balanced with ambient light

Would you belive that the back ground on the pictures on the 30th was quite light. But the ones on the 8th was done in night mode.
