from what i know, its pointless having one as the engine is not designed for it! messes up the gearing of how it should be, keep the f28 for the LET engines

No point in having an F28 on a n/a 2.0... The ratios are all wrong.

theyre a lot heavier aswell. theyre on the let's so at say 70-80mph your not in boost while driving for fuel economy etc.

it isnt just a case of swapping boxes over either, you have to cut and shorten a part of the linkage, and its gotta be welded back togethe pretty much the same angle it was chopped off at or it makes getting gears really difficult.

i wouldnt bother personally with one on a xe. there are better thing to spend the time and money on really

I thought the first 5 gears were the same with 6th put on top with the F28. This wouldn't screw the ratio's up, and would give you an extra gear for fuel economy whilst cruising.

I would have thought the limiting factor with top speed would be power. With a long enough hill you would have a higher top speed with the F28, but thats no great gain at all.

I would only do it for fuel consumption and comfort of cruising at higher speeds.

the first 5 are the same as the f20 4xe box from cavvy and calibra 20xe 4x4's, the ones everyone removes the final drive out of for ther other f20's, then a 6th after that.

well, thats what i think i was told they were

THe final drive is different on the F28 making the gear ratios different. This has been covered a few pages into this section and the actual ratios are listed to propve my point.
