hi,

any one know where to get an alloy wheel repaired in Manchester area?
maybe crome dipped also or polished.
and roughly how much charges are?

just buy a new one wheel will be much weaker if it is repaired

i got my old alloys repaired, they wont be as strong as originally but they wnt be weak

ive got mine done, cost 180 to get repaired and sprayed

chrome dipped? do they acctually look chrome when done?

anyone know average prices for this or polished?

Kickstart in Manchester want roughly £100 then I would need the tyre also, so looks like I mat as well find a wheel and tyre deal on ebay and sell the other alloys inc damaged one and keep the tyres which had lots of tread left on them.

You do know that a new alloy on it's own ranges between roughly £100 and £200 depending on size don't you. If a wheel has been cracked it's done it's job. It has absorbed impact, broken and prevented chassis damage or injury to the driver.... What is peoples obsession with re-using crap?

You can't chrome dip aluminium. It would melt. You have to electroplate it which involves copper plating and then nickel plating which is them polished to give the wheels a chrome effect.
