is there much differance between a 45 and 50 profile tyre wall?

Yes i am a cheap skate and have notced the differance in price

the 45 and 50 is the aspect ratio of the tyre width reflected in the sidewall, so a tyre width of 195/45 is 5% less than a tyre of 195/50

50 profile will give the tyre a more offroader type of appearance. The larger the profile the smaller your wheels will look and vice versa. Larger profile gives a comfier ride though...

what do you guys think....

save 40% on the cost and go 195/50/15 to hell with looks
keep the good looks and go 195/45/15 (std size) but expensive

keep the better looks and handling

if your only buying 2 new tyres then it'll look daft if you have two 45 profile tyres say on the back and two 50 profiles on the front!

also if 45 profile are the standard size tyres from the factory then they'll be a reason for it. prob cos it handles better with them on

for while i was runnin 14"s on the front and 15"s on the back of me old VTr

I have had me Toyos on for about 6weeks and there dead already

your tracking must be out. I've had my toyos on for about 8 months (10,000 miles) and theres still fair bit of tread left on them

will probably drive/handle better on good quality 195-50-15
