Right got my Tax up on Wednesday, and when we sent my documents off to be changed for the registartion plate we never had the MOT certificate back it seems and weve only just realised obviously the tax is up on wednesday ... is there anything we can do ? cant get another copy because it would still have the old reg on asked to put the new reg on but they cant which is fair enough... so im kind of stuck... car will fail an MOT on emisions guarenteed but obviosuly i was going to get that sorted when the MOT was up...

Any help apriciatted

Cause i have a de-cat so i doubt it will pass tbh .. its also overfuelling a bit i think.... mates just said if i take the V5 in proving the chasis number is the same on the V5 as the MOt would be then surely they can write the diff reg on top of the cert..

it will be down to the person behind the post office desk. i suppose they could do what you said, however if the person behind the desk does not approve your stuck.

personally i'd ring dvla just to see what they say, after all they have the certficate and may be able to send it.

when is the exact date of when the tax has to be renewed, how long have you had the renewal letter?

When you went to the DVLA for the transfer they should have just stamped it?? should never have to send it off in the first place?

Doh!!! Looks like it may have to go for another test unless where you got it done keeps it on file??? very doubtful, but maybe worth a shot?
