i have 1.2 16 sxi 1999 when is the best time to change gear to get the most power/ speed out of my i car i heardy drive it fast and just would like to no when is the best time to change gear in all gears, ps does letting it go upto the limiter slow your car down.

ok as i realised having a 1.2 sxi slows things down
dont limit it as you loose poo loads of speed like rob said just under 6000rpm is best just before you hit limiter
also give my 1bhp tip ago u might be suprised

just under 6000rpm
anything over the sxi tells you to fuck off and doesnt move

c20xe ECU doesnt rev to 7500, sure its 7200 standard. May depend on car/model the c20xe was in though i suppose
Sure mine was 7200 (cav GSi 2000)

i thought the C20XE was 7000 dead?? C/X16XE is 6750. 1.2 16v will be 6250, the same as the 8v models. X14XE is 6500
