Any tips for doing this DIY stylee? Kerb marks around the rim, maybe a few scratches on the spokes.
What do I use to fill in the kerbing? Regular body filler?

would recommend having the steel wheel shot blasted because of rust, as it won't be long untill the rust reocurrers and bubble your lovely paint. Then you use an etch (bare metal) primer. I would always use acryilic putty instead of filler, its less prone to cracking and very easy to work with. If your using spray cans, IMO its not worth it, the colour and texture is never as good as quality as spray gun paints, plus using the 1k lacquers (thats only whats available in aerosols) is a poor shine. best you use a proper 2k lacquer like Glasurit, its expensive but is top quality and never dulls,

most of the marks will be in the coating thats why refurb places dip them the remove it completely before they start
