First one what would be the cause of leaky brake fluid?

Second one his car keeps cutting out and its had a new filter and EGR valve what could it be?

leaky brake fluid... there are about 20 places it could be... check them all...

the cutting out... is the speedo working?

rear brake cylinder, seem quite common

can you see were the fluid is leaking from. It could be the seals in the brake caliper. corroded brake pipes and also the most common rear brake cylinder. Remove the drum to check.
