as long as the brakes work and emissons are under what they should be except on a K reg it will be fine

mot goes on age of engine so if engine is older than when cat regulations came in it will be fine...

mot are computerised now so the information given to the mot tester will be that as the dvla have, so if your car aint down as 2ltr would imagine it will not pass mot on emissions.
dont hold me to this as a defo but thats how i think it works now

that was the mistake my bro in law was making when he was moting my old 2.0 corsa, going on age of car..i said no age of engine...they checked and read up on it and it was 'deffo' age of engine....not age of car...
as for now with it being all computerised i don't know what change that will make....
mine was not registered as a 2.0 at the time of mot...

It is all computerised as already said, the MOT tester now inputs the VIN number into the computer and it brings up the car eg, make, model and engine size so f the car aint registered as a 2ltr it WONT pass you will NEED to contact the DVLA and tell them of the engine swap

What sort of price do people pay for insurance on a 2.0 corsa at 20 with 2 years NCB?

dont worry about computeriseation at mo as the computers are not linked to the emmisions machines yet . just make sure you tell them year of engine .
the joys of being an mot tester
