mostly because the production car only cost's $87,000 and it's just a tuned version of it so they can't charge stupid amount's of money for it.

doesn't have no where near the same engineering as the bugatti, but i would love to have one, due to the fact i love vipers.

and this car would be purely for just the fun factor, sideway's fun all the way.

But the Bugatti engine has more cylinders, more displacement, more power per liter, and more output overall than any other engine in the WR family tree. When I ask Bugatti development boss Wolfgang Schreiber to explain how the same engine can be rated at 1001 SAE net horsepower at 6000 rpm for the U.S. but only 987 horsepower (1001 PS) for Europe, he laughs, saying, "The production engines are all putting out between 1020 and 1040 PS—enough to cover both promises."

Remember that the Bugatti Veyron costs over 4 million Euros to make each car.
And VW makes a loss of over 2 million euros per car they sell, now that’s dedicated.
About 4,000,000 EUR = £2,777,398 GBP per car to build
And are selling them @
$1,700,00.00 USD = £967,776 GBP
Making a loss of
£1,809,622 GBP = 2,606,211 EUR
