Why is it when i use vaux/GM 10/40w semi oil the engine runs fine. yet if i use any other brand the engine taps like a diesel?

what oil do all you other 20XE owners use?

i use 10/40 vaux in my xe and LET, most my mates use it.. even in a scooby and an m3

Vauxhall oil is good quality stuff thats why, OE is usually the best stuff apart from when performance parts are required.

Just put Tesco value oil in my Vectra cause the oil pressure light came on. lol. Either the dipstick is too short or I had no oil. Nothing. Nada.

anyway, dont know whats in it atm, but itll be getting castrol gtx 10-40 diesel in a week or so
