Ask on Mig, people have tried them on there...
Basically the ATB is a different type to the other two (plate) diffs.
ATB needs no maintance, and puts more power depending on what wheel has traction, and is constantly altering where the power is.
Plate diffs work in a different way, and you could drive with only one driveshaft in, or a wheel off the ground.
I got told to buy the ATB, nicer to drive with and zero maintance. The plates will need replacing in other diffs. Plus the only diff that will not bust with over 300lb is a Quaife. Others are not guarenteed (hence why they are not listed for an F28, though they will fit!)

Only had a small drive of a car with an ATB, I can't remember where I've put mine so that is a hinderence to getting it fitted lol
It will turn up soon!
Sure there will be somebody on Mig who has driven them all. Or try on PassionFord, and have a search. Question has been asked loads of times!

problem with a plate type diff is if you break a driveshaft, you'll be spooned into the nearest wall/cow when the only driven wheel grips, with an ATB, you lose ALL drive, which is far safer

Its back on the road(road legal) as of last Saturday in as much as I can push it into the road and leave it there, legally! but I'm waiting for some essential bits back, should be any day now Then hopefully, yes, will be running ok! Think I still need to go get my fuel pressure regualtor set up.
I'm so excited, I just can't hide it, you know, you know, you know I want you

Is the car a daily driver broster?
If so a Quaife would be less hassle and make life easier when you are driving.
If it's not a daily driver a plate LSD would be better suited.
I believe the Gripper's last quite long b4 a service is required, more so than a Tran-X.
I've never found a Quaife to be "snatchy", certainly any plate LSD could be described as such...

-daily drive
-track car
-1/4 mile car
-money pit.

mark - pretty much what lucky has said
Quaiffe atb would be easier for daily use, running costs and wouldnt take long to get used to.
The others are more motorsport/race applications where they need to be rebuilt
race and rally - do a google search there in kent and build all our diffs for the caterhams and also the rush s2000.
There the daddies on gearboxes and rebuilds and maybe able to sort you a deal!
