Well went down there today to get my new exhaust fitted

turned up at half 9 as requested sorry but u'll have to wait - 1 hr later they say to bring the car in and put it up on the ramps

so a little annoyed at the 1hr wait - i do so

what type of tail pipe do u want - choose one - sorry but that one wont go onto the system you want - picks up a rather ugly looking tailpipe and says this is the only oval exhaust type which will

ok you going to wait or come back and collect it - decided to wait - as it was only due to be 2-3 hrs - u do realise its a 4-5 hr job - so by this point i'm feeling a little pi**ed by the whole idea.

paying money to have a custom exhaust fitted - however its not custom the way i want it but the way i'm told i have to have it

finally the bloke troops back in after 5min - sorry but we cant fit the exhaust

there is a piece of metal behind the bumper which the exhaust is going to catch on - so it wont sit right - has to have a gap between bodywork and exhaust - and we cant do that sorta work here - our saws only cut plastic not metal - told me to go and get someone to cut the metal away and take it back and he would fit it on fri

so guess what

no new exhaust fitted today and i will not be going back on fri

also have had a nice chat with the manager of powerflow and expressed my feelings in regards to this matter - and also told him that i wll not be reattending the darl location or advising other people to - due to extremely poor service

rant over

the name says it all! powerflow have a bad reputation, now you can see why.

have you tried AAS in newcastle? thet are a proper exhaust place, they do a lot of competition stuff including touring cars! Ive sent 10+ people there and ive never ever heared a complaint about them. The guy that runs it is called stuart.

they also use 'real' stainless steel that doesnt rust unlike power flop

i've heard good things about AAS also, and won't be hard for you to find, as it is near B&Q, just off the A1

Better off buying the exhaust and fitting yourself. Labour charges can be extortionary!

thats reassuring to know

doesnt matter if they do a good job or not anyway, they use low grade stainless steel at all powerflows, its south african shite, doesnt even pass the relevant british standards to be called 'stainless'
