As above, which should i fit in my corsa. I have read that the c20xe is easier to fit into the corsa but i like the sound of the turbo.
I also want to rebuild and uprate some parts on the engine before it goes in my corsa.
So which one should i go for.
Thanks

If you can afford to buy/run/maintain/insure the LET then go for that, theres no reason not to imo

If you can afford the extra price, running costs and possibility of bigger repairs then go for the turbo!

To hell with the cash. Get the LET.

On a serious note it will be more expensive to buy. Not to much difference to fitting, just jiggery pokery with the intercooler and oil cooler etc.

Insurance will be a killer if your a young pup but a mildly tuned LET engine is the most fun ive had in a small car. The torque is just unreal and depending on what exhaust you have on it they sounds awesome....

Im in the midle of rebuilding on to go into a nova and i seriously cant wait.

iv just had a quick browse thru ur recent posts and remember reading them before. u still gettin that £20k loan? if so, id seriously suggest buying a bigger and better car than a corsa cos ul probably just regret in years to come when ur still paying off ur loan. and just turning 18 and wanting a LET in a corsa, hmm, get some quotes first mate

You are 18, you won't get insurance on either of them.

Good luck insuring either. I'd wait a few years til you have more driving experience, and insurance is reduced. Why spend all that money getting an XE or LET, insuring it, and running it, and risking any accidents by virtue of inexperience with large engines. But I know nothing of your driving background, IMHO, thats what I would think to myself if i was asking this same question.

i insured my XE nova at 19.
Either would make a fun car to drive. XE will be more reliable but also a lot more expensive and tune to get high power figures. Could just whack some Nitrous on it.
Mate of mine did this week for Redline Rumble, standard XE 100 shot of gas.. 262 bhp on the rollers. Still runs like a dream
He usually runs a Phase 3 LET but is rebuilding it for the 4th time this year after doing a grand total of about 1000 miles since it first went in. (3 rebuilds in that time)
That probably tells you to use an XE

I have had three engines in my corsa(not including the origional) 2.0 8v sri 130, xe and now let, if in anyway u think you will ever want the turbo then do it now!

Either way you will have teething probs, and better to only have them once, they are a real pain and cause serious stress!

i would just let it, especially if you have something to run around in whilst its been done!
