Just got all my electric sunroof stuff to do a conv. but just wanting to make sure what wires go where. Got a vectra surround, switch and motor, but the loom was cut...so have 5 wires: Black, Brown, Red and Red/Yellow from the motor and a brown wire from the switch.
the motor wires -
Blacks - Ground?
Red - Live?
Red/Yellow - Alarm closeure?
Bown - Switch Live (can be also perm live?)?
and whats the brown wire from the switch for?
Also, i have just got the surround, motor and switch - apart from running a live feed (so need to get cable/20Afuse, anyone know of what gauge cable?) is there anything else i need - bolts etc?
tar all,
Dom

Black = Ignition switch live
Red = +12V
Brown = ground
The Red/Yellow = Central Locking Closure wire
vectra sunroof is rated to 10 amps I picked my feed up from the battery
you will need 2 screws to hold the motor in place there a fortune from vx
(£1.10 each)
but you can get them from b&q and thay are dont quote me on this but i think there 5mm x 40mm countersunk take one of the old screws with you and match it up for its got to be longer tho you will also need to cut them down a bit as there an odd size
Edit.
the correct screw size is M5 x 32 Countersunk
In B&Q the nearest you will get is M5 x 40
as for wire size 17/18 amp is 28 awg or 0.03mm (most spares places stock it aroung £2 for 4 meters) A 10 amp fuse and holder is about £1.50
you can find a switch live in the loom that runs under the front of the glovebox and is BLACK/VIOLET
