Agreed, TB will pull more if you do more B road driving, but tbh, when on the roads, who races down the twistys?
Far too risky for me, i'd rather save for the track rather than risk the person "racing" possibly smashing my car/their car. Not like we have a lot of run off area on our B roads
Having a blat in a straight line doesn't need any skill, but far less risky also. If you want more, get on track.
Easy way to sort weight for all the weighters, buy the 20kg block. Only £3k+ VAT.
not being funny but hoe pointless, no one does a 1.6 engine for straight line speed do they!
off the line mine is fast, its no 1/4 mile monster, but round the twisties its fantastic, especially with the diff. muppet sport and ak both have said, in here and in the past, that a 1.6 16v engine is a good option, they have the 2ltr on tb's and c20let...... says alot to me.
driving the kind of cars i drive every day, i know what i prefer....

jr, knowing how you drive your car and whats in it, cage, you even swapped the calipers for lighter ones, the 1.6 on tb's is by far the best answer.
as for b roads, there are some nice b roads where i live and where my folks live, i know many many people who have some fine on them, and as they all have a brain not one of them has had an accident on them, the few idiots i have known to have accidents on then all hit hedges and stuff, yeah it happens but onbly if your a chump.
id rather take that risk that drive at warp speed 9 in a corsa.........
jr, we need your car......

not like ive had years of experience driving xe nova's, corsa's and turbo nova's and corsa's or anything. compared to the 1600 16v i had, it was much more fun than bigger engines
not one to blow my own trumpet............
