OK here the situation. i've lost my only car key. VX dealer has quoted me £140 to cut and reprogram a new key however scrappy has door & boot lock, ECU and car key for my car which is a 1.4 16V. R these items all that I need to get my engine to start again. (wont need any other parts for the ignition system to work?)

your also need to change the ignition barrel + transponder loop aswell change all the door lock +more hassle cough up the dough and pay vx
MY brain wernt in gear the otherday when i posted +plus youve change the situation

thnx flash22  . Its gonna cost me £170+ including recovery 2 get car from my house to VX dealer. can I get a ignition barrel and key from scrappy so I can release the steering lock so my car can be towed to vx dealer?

there lies another prob to get the barrel out you need the key
what i would do is
1.go to vx get the key cut for your car
2.go back with new key and unlock car
3.tow car to vx dealer
4. 3 mins later the key is programed
5.greenelephant is A happy bunny now hopefully and drives of into the sunset
6.he also Remembers to get a spare cut aswell
